New to coliving? The concept can be confusing, but that’s why we’re here. Here are the biggest questions about coliving answered.

What is coliving?

For Common, coliving is synonymous with comfort, convenience, and community. Coliving offers both a beautiful, private room to call your own and comfortable spaces to share with your suitemates. Essentially, it’s the solution to make city living (and living with roommates) better.

Who is it for?

Everyone. Common members range from recent college graduates to established professionals, from single to married. Our homes accommodate all types of people, backgrounds, and lifestyles.

What does the rent include?

For one all-inclusive rate, Common provides members with a furnished home, household essentials, weekly cleaning, laundry, WiFi, utilities, and more. Our homes also come with rooftop lounges, home theaters, and wellness studios that are easily accessible and designed to help foster an inclusive community. When taking everything into consideration, Common members save around $380 each month.

Who are my roommates?

At Common, you have the chance to meet friendly and like-minded people and to build a true sense of community that’s rare in large cities. All members pass a background check during the application process, so no need to worry about crazy roommates.

How do I move in?

With coliving, you just bring your personal items, and that’s it. Think no hassles with carrying couches up the stairs or millions of boxes. We provide all the basic essentials and then you make it yours. Move-ins can take as few as 30 minutes thanks to keyless access and clear, thoughtful instructions from our Member Services team.
