Pasta Making Workshop
Earlier in March, Common members learned how to make fresh pasta from scratch. They mastered pappardelle with asparagus, parmesan, and poached eggs as well as the Roman-style pepper and parmesan pasta in just two hours. Now, members can impress their guests at their next dinner party.

Rhine Hall Distillery
Rhine Hall, a family-owned and operated, small-batch distillery, hosted some Common members for a tasting tour. They got an inside look at the distilling process and got to taste samples of the distillery’s specialty — fruit brandies, also known as eau de vie or schnapps.

Common members in Chicago also had the opportunity to walk through the laminating process for creating flaky, buttery layers of French pastries. They filled the dough with apples, cut it into palmier cookies, and layered it with sugar to create the queen of pastries, kouign-amann.
