What’s included in rent for coliving at Common?

In a typical apartment, your rent covers the roof above your head and little else. If you’re lucky, gas or hot water might be included, but for most renters, every other housing expense must be negotiated in the rest of their budget.

At Common, rent provides our coliving members with a bedroom in a gorgeous shared suite, along with tons of extra services and amenities that end up saving them money and time in the long run. Keep reading for a full list of what’s included in rent.

A private bedroom in a fully furnished apartment that’s designed for shared living

Every Common member gets their own private bedroom (no bunk beds here) with a full or queen sized bed frame, mattress, nightstand, closet, and even hangers! Some suites offer en-suite bathrooms. Outside the bedroom, members will find a fully furnished living and kitchen area, specifically designed for shared living. That touches everything from stain-free countertops and industrial-sized fridges to plenty of seating in the living room.

Utilities and WiFi included in rent

Fighting over how to split the bills, deciding on the best internet plan, or budgeting for heat in the winter and AC in the summer, are all things of the past at Common.

All the household necessities

Toilet paper? Check. Dishwashing soap? Check. Pots, pans, utensils, cups, mugs, plates, and cleaning supplies? Check, check, check — well, you get it. Common members are provided with everything they need to live comfortably, saving money on the essentials that make a house feel like a home. Plus, supplies like toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, and even laundry detergent, are restocked weekly.

Free weekly cleanings of shared spaces

Common members are encouraged to be as tidy as they would be in any other living situation, but by providing free weekly cleanings of shared spaces, Common does most of the heavy lifting for our members, including mopping, sweeping, and vacuuming.

Community events included

Our community events are designed to help our members meet each other and experience the best the city has to offer. From wine tastings to pastry making classes, to community gardening to day trips into nature, Common members save money on local happenings. Members can also create their own event and get funding from Common to help host it! That Superbowl Sunday party you’re dying to have? We’ve got your game-day spread fully covered.

Discounts to major brands

On top of all the savings members will find included in your rent, Common also partners with local and national brands to provide our community with exclusive discounts and deals. Perks are updated weekly on our app. Speaking of…

Connect by Common app

Access to Common’s community app is just another benefit of being a Common member. We know, this isn’t something you’d normally expect from your property manager, but the benefits are invaluable. Our app allows members to connect 1:1 with other members in the Common community, check out the latest events or create their own, stay up to date on the latest perks, and even request additional services, like cleaning!
