Our recommendations

The Stage Door Coffee

Walking distance: 15 minutes
But first, coffee. You have a few walkable options for your morning cup when you step out the door at Bode Greenview by Common. There’s a Starbucks down the street, and a whole slew of cafes once you hit Greenwood Avenue, but our personal favorite is The Stage Door. Along with a perfect cup of coffee, you can also grab sandwiches, salads, or a breakfast crepe. The Stage Door also gets its name from the neighboring Taproot Theatre.

Green Lake Park

Walking distance: 8 minutes
Parks (like coffee shops) are pretty easy to come by in Seattle. And lucky for you, you’re only 15 minutes from Green Lake Park, one of the best in Seattle. Situated on the shores of Green Lake, this lush and expansive park is part wildlife preserve, part walking and bike path, and part recreation center, with courts for PickleBall and tennis, and of course, swimming. Whether you want to get together with friends for a picnic, or enjoy a moment in nature, you’ll be glad you live only a walk away from Green Lake Park.

Green Tree Restaurant

Walking distance: 14 minutes
As we mentioned previously, Greenwood Avenue is home to many restaurants, cafes, and bars, including gems like Green Tree Restaurant. Serving both Chinese and Vietnamese dishes, including soups, curries, noodles, and rice, Green Tree Restaurant offers authentic and fresh cuisine at a reasonable price. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, you can’t dine in but we do recommend grabbing some Pho to go on a rainy night and enjoying it in the comfort of your apartment.
