Hi Jaye! Can you tell us more about your day to day working at Common?
Anything is possible when you’re a leasing specialist! My role is a balancing act between organizing tours, staying up to date on all of our home offerings, and maintaining personable connections with prospective members. My days mainly consist of reaching out to prospective members, scheduling, and conducting both virtual and in-person tours! Once I’ve completed a tour with a prospective member, I make sure to follow up with each person and act as a liaison between new applicants and the rest of the Common team.
What is your favorite part of Common’s work culture?
Honestly, I loved my first week at Common! I was introduced to almost every department and had lots of hands-on training that helped prepare me for my role and also understand the company as a whole. My favorite part about working at Common is taking part in building a culture that supersedes just “working with coworkers.” Common encourages us to meet with coworkers outside of our teams for coffee (now over video chat) and gives each team budget for team bonding activities. One of my favorite virtual team nights has been “Game Night!” One of the leasing managers rounds up the team at the end of the week and hosts a virtual game night. (It’s always much needed, especially after a long week.)

I’ll always love the hustle and bustle of NY! NY literally keeps you on your toes!
What did you want to be when you grew up?
A pediatrician…things have definitely changed!
Favorite Hobby?
Taking pictures of food and nature.
Favorite Place?
The open road.
Favorite Common home?
Common Monroe in DC is my favorite Common home I’ve worked with and gave me a chance to work in a new market. The home is a renovated church and is architecturally stunning!
