Hi Ri! Can you tell us more about your day to day working as at Common?
As a Housekeeping Operation Manager, I managed the day to day processes of our porters, cleaners and vendors to ensure best practices. On the backend, I perform data analysis to make sure the company housekeeping budget is utilized most efficiently. What surprises most people about my role is that I coordinated closely with the Member Support and Leasing team to ensure members’ satisfaction across the country.
Tell us more about your first week at Common!
I usually get nervous when I’m placed in a new environment, but everyone I met during my first week was very energetic and friendly! Aside from the standard onboarding process, at Common, the wheels start turning the moment you enter the door. My first week was spent meeting with various team members across the board learning about their roles and how my role intertwined with Common overall goals.
What’s your favorite part of Common’s work culture?
My favorite part of working here is definitely my team! They’re very enthusiastic about their roles and the impact it makes on our members. Across the company, I love getting paired with random Common team members via the Common Coffee Buddies program. Every two weeks, the program matches you with a random employee to share a coffee break (or video call) with. It’s helped develop a strong employee-driven culture and opened up my eyes to the different roles within the company.
