About Common Violet
At Common Violet, it’s all in the details. This historic building was once a single-family home, built sometime between 1888 and 1893. Thoughtfully restored by our Studio team, the home retains much of the original architecture that makes it unique, including stained glass windows, beautiful dark wood moldings, and antique chandeliers. Combined with high-end appliances and modern furniture, your new home is equal parts cozy and comfortable.

The city
World-class architecture, music, food and sports all intersect in the city of Chicago. As America’s third-largest city, Chicago has no shortage of sights, events, and tasty eats. Deep-dish pizza and Chicago-style hot dogs may be Windy City’s culinary claims to fame, but its fine dining scene is just as renowned. Chicago’s architecture also straddles the past and the present, with classic buildings reflecting in the silver of the modern Cloud Gate sculpture.
