Here’s what else you need to know
Enjoy the convenience of an on-site laundry room located within the building. Please also note that ALTA by Common is no longer offering the options to sublet or transfer to another Common home.
Everything you need and more
When you move into ALTA by Common, your rent gets you more than an apartment — it also includes access to over 27,000 square feet of amenities, with everything from an outdoor movie theatre to an 18-hole golf simulator and a state of the art fitness center complete with Peloton machines. Start your morning off right with a swim in the indoor pool, and stay productive at one of the home’s many coworking spaces. For a night in with friends or new roommates, head to the game hall, where you can enjoy a game of pool or a great conversation in front of the grand fireplace. Other amenities include a movement studio for yoga and pilates, BBQs, an outdoor deck with killer views, and an event space with Sonos and an 11 ft screen.
Easily explore New York City
ALTA by Common is located near several major subway lines: the 7, N, W, at Queensboro Plaza, the E, M, R at Queens Plaza, and the G at Court Square. Take the express 7 train to arrive at Grand Central in 15 minutes. The G takes you through the east side of Brooklyn, including Greenpoint, Williamsburg, Bed-Stuy, and Park Slope. If you’re looking to explore your own borough (and try some of the best dumplings in the city) hop on the M or R trains up to Astoria, or the 7 to Flushing.
Just a train ride away from Midtown Manhattan and North Brooklyn, Long Island City is central to the best New York City has to offer, and every type of convenience, cuisine, culture, and entertainment you could imagine. Our neighborhood favorites include MoMa PS1, an offshoot of the Museum of Modern Art, Dutch Kills, a speakeasy style cocktail bar, Mogee Tea LIC, a Japanese tea shop, and Levante, where you can find Neapolitan style pizza.
In New York City, you can find every culture, style, cuisine and language. Some of the Big Apple’s most well-known contributions include Broadway, cheesecake, the Statue of Liberty, hot dog carts, the Thanksgiving Day Macy’s Parade, Central Park…The list goes on and on and on. Concerts, sporting matches, and festivals happen almost every night, so be sure to keep your calendar open.
