After getting through winter in the windy city, everyone in Chicago is looking for ways to get out and enjoy the warm weather in the spring. Chicago is full of events to get you in that spring mood.

Chicago in the Spring

Arts

Come have fun and dance the night away at the Chicago House Music Festival on May 26 from 2pm to 9pm. At the Jay Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park, there will be live performances and DJs. Various styles and sounds of the Chicago-born music will be blasting for your enjoyment.

From March 3 through September 23, 2018, a Keith Haring Mural will be on display in Grant Park. The murals are originals created in 1989 by Haring and 500 Chicago Public School students. The exhibit features 36 original pieces.

Foodie Events

Lincoln Park Wine Festival is coming back to Chicago Friday May 18 at 6pm, until Sunday May 20 at 4pm. Enjoy smooth music, live artists, tasty bites, and fantastic wine in any of the four sessions. There are over 90 tastings available for you to choose from. Admission is at least $20 per session, and each ticket gets you 12 tastings.

Ribfest is one of the best street parties Chicago has to offer.  This year, Ribfest will be in Chicago on Friday June 8 through Sunday June 10, until 10 pm, where you can count on 27 actual tons of ribs being cooked and eaten by the city’s foodies. Admission to this event is also free, but tasting tickets are $1 each (individual tastings cost between 4 and 12 tickets).

Chicago Culture

To fully immerse yourself in all Chicago has to offer, a great adventure is a trip to Navy Pier. The 3,300 foot long pier is packed with nothing but activities for an entire day of fun. There are playgrounds, museums, music, an AMC IMAX theater, and more.

The warm weather will be the perfect opportunity to take one of the sightseeing or dining boat cruises. Between April 3 and May 24, every Tuesday and Thursday at 7am, there will be outdoor fitness classes to help you start your morning right. Until April 15, there will be an art installation titled Prismatica, which transforms the field into a space filled with bold and bright colors.

Get in touch with the rest of Chicago for the Chicago Cubs Opening Day at Wrigley Field on Monday, April 9. Go out for a day of fun and adrenaline at this super-energized baseball game.
