Grab some breakfast

Start your day at Cafe Gratitude, a plant-based cafe that offers superfood smoothies, hard kombucha, chai lattes, and more. If you’re starting your day early or rolling out of bed late, this spot has all the options you need to fuel up. A few blocks away is Go Get Em Tiger, a coffee bar that has everything from Instagrammable avocado toast to caffeine-packed coffees. We recommend trying the almond macadamia latte.

Walk around and learn

After fueling up on your morning coffee, head over to Hancock Park, a beautiful, grassy park where you can relax, enjoy the fresh air, and learn about natural history. La Brea Tar Pits located in Hancock Park features areas where natural asphalt has come up from the ground over thousands of years. The Tar Pits area is the only actively excavated Ice Age fossil site found in an urban location. Take a stroll around the park, enjoy the California weather, learn about ancient history, and then make your way to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Located on Museum Row, LACMA is the largest museum in the western United States and has more than 150,000 pieces of art to admire.

Stop for lunch and shop

If you just want to window shop or need an entirely new wardrobe, check out The Grove. This outdoor entertainment spot is one of Los Angeles’ favorite shopping and dining destinations. Shop ‘til you drop and then get some lunch, indoors or outdoors, at some of the yummiest spots. If you’re in the mood for fresh sushi, Blue Ribbon Sushi Bar & Grill is the place for you. If you’re looking for a quick bite to eat, head over to Umami Burger for some fried pickles or cheesy potato tots. Small bites or large entrees, this must-see attraction has all you need for a midday pick-me-up. If you like to plan ahead, check out the directory that gives you a full list of all the shops and restaurants and where they’re located.

Cool down with a beer

Finish your day by grabbing a beer at All Season Brewing Company. Just established in 2021, this spot is a great addition to the neighborhood and is the perfect spot to unwind and hang out with friends. If you’re not a fan of beer don’t worry, they have a full menu of cocktails, wine, and ciders that are just as good.
