East Harlem Bottling Co. (8 minutes)
East Harlem Bottling Co. is just a few blocks away from The Heritage by Common, and you’ll want to spend your whole afternoon here. The best part about East Harlem Bottling Co. is that if you get hungry, they have a great menu filled with tasty appetizers, flatbreads, and sandwiches.

Cantina (11 minutes)
If you’re looking for a fun restaurant with a great happy hour, you have to check out Cantina. This Taqueria & Tequila Bar has everything from cucumber to coconut margaritas, and if you’re hungry make sure you try the mango jerk chicken tacos.

Earl’s Beer & Cheese (19 minutes)
The perfect place to spend time on your own or with a bigger group, this Harlem hot spot offers craft beers and a cheese-focused menu. During the week for happy hour after work or on Saturday for brunch — you’re bound to have a good time whenever you go.

Where to eat

No matter what type of food you’re in the mood for, you can find a great spot for any craving. Egg sandwiches for breakfast, Caribbean food for lunch, or steak for dinner — there are endless options to choose from.

Bo’s Bagels (15 minutes)
Start your day with breakfast from Bo’s Bagels. With more than a dozen types of bagels and cream cheese flavors, you’ll never get tired of this spot. If you’re not into cream cheese or butter, try a breakfast sandwich with bacon or sausage. Slept through your alarm? Don’t worry, Bo’s Bagels also serves deli sandwiches.

Sidewalk Tacos (11 minutes)
For lunch, head over to Sidewalk Tacos for some authentic and delicious Mexican food. From carnitas quesadillas to vegetarian tacos, It’s hard to find a menu item that isn’t a winner.

Maxwell’s Central Park (2 minutes)
End your day with dinner at Maxwell’s Central Park. Less than a 2 minute walk from The Heritage by Common, this vibrant restaurant serves craft cocktails and American dishes. With so many great menu items, you’ll be planning your next trip to Maxwell’s Central Park before you finish your meal.

Things to see and do

Between eating and drinking, make sure you save time to check out a museum or take in the natural beauty of Central Park.

Museum of the City of New York (9 minutes)
The Museum of the City of New York is an art and history museum that celebrates and documents New York City’s past, present and future. Open Friday to Sunday, you can see around 750,000 artifacts that include prints, photographs, paintings, sculptures, and more.

Central Park (2 minutes)
Just a short walk from The Heritage by Common, Central Park is basically your backyard. Grab a coffee nearby and go for a walk or get some friends together and have a picnic. A staple of New York City, Central Park is gorgeous year-round, and it’s the perfect place to spend time.

El Museo (8 minutes)
El Museo is the place to go if you’re looking to learn more about Latino culture and history. This modern art museum is open Saturday and Sunday and has beautiful exhibits consisting of film, literary, visual, performing arts series, and educational programs.
