Why did you choose to work at Common?
I recently moved to DC and posted a resume with no expectations. The very next day, I received a call from Common expressing that they thought I was a good fit! After over an hour on the phone, I felt like I knew about Common my entire life. The people I’ve met while working here have made Common feel like the most natural job I’ve ever had.
Do you have a favorite story about interacting with a member you’d like to share?
Definitely the time I was cleaning out trash from the plant boxes on the rooftop deck. A member stopped me to explain that his guests had made the mess and that he wanted to take care of it for me. The next day, both roof decks look like the Botanical Gardens! Turns out that this member was a landscape architect.
When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be an astronaut. I was in first grade when Star Wars came out, and I still remember the first space shuttle launch like it was yesterday!
Favorite on-the-job snack?
I snack all day! If I had to choose: Dorito’s, Lay’s BBQ chips, and gummy bears.
What’s your favorite place?
It changes often but at the moment, Split, Croatia.
