Hi Rex! Let’s start with the basics, what was your first week at Common like?
Honestly, it feels like a blur at this point, but I remember feeling a mix of excitement and eagerness to learn all about the business and my role as Leasing Administrator. Of course, there are always some nerves as to be expected when starting a new job, but my team was so supportive and welcoming! True to its start-up nature, I noticed right away that Common is rapidly growing, and it definitely has exciting energy to be apart of. Every day I’m presented with the possibility of a new opportunity that keeps me on my toes.
What’s been your favorite team outing?
I haven’t been on too many, thanks to COVID-19, but cannot wait till our team is reunited! The last one was a karaoke outing with the sales team. I honestly think there is no better way to let your guard down and enjoy meeting your co-workers than singing off-key to Party in the USA.
What do you love about interacting with our members as a Leasing Administrator?
“Working with a diverse group members across our markets here on the West Coast truly exciting. I really enjoy getting to know my applicants and helping them make the move to a different city as seamlessly as possible, especially since I just moved to California myself!”

Favorite Hobby?
Anything outdoors. I just moved to LA and I’ve already started a Sunday ritual of biking the beach promenade from Venice up to the end of Santa Monica. Biking is such a fun way to see a city!
What did you want to be when you grew up?
I feel like I’m still sorting this one out, but I’ve always been interested in real estate! I’m pretty sure it all started with an episode of Million Dollar Listing NYC.
Favorite place?
There are still so many places I want to go see and experience, it’s difficult to choose! I feel the happiest when I’m on a beach, something about the sounds of the waves and vastness of the horizon always calms and grounds me. Definitely my favorite place to take a morning run.
Favorite Common home?
I remember taking a virtual tour of Common Monroe and was just taken back at how well our Space Team retrofitted an old church into co-living suites! The pitched ceiling and natural light really captivated me.
