Our community events are curated by our member services team, and include everything from archery classes to group brunches. With the app, members can stay up to date on the latest social gatherings and create their own events for other members to attend.

Looking to chat with other members? Or invite a new suitemate to dinner? Through our app’s Chat feature, connecting with suitemates and new friends has never been so easy, Members can message each other one on one or through interest and home-based groups.
Directory
With access to Connect by Common’s directory, members have the opportunity to truly know their neighbors and enjoy all the benefits of shared living. By filling out their profile, members can find each other based on city, home, or interest tags. It’s communal living made easy.

Private bedroom
Every member has a private bedroom, furnished with a nightstand, lamp, and a comfy bed.
Fully furnished
Our homes come furnished with quality pieces from exceptional brands like Restoration Hardware and West Elm.
High-end kitchen
Every kitchen at Common is outfitted with high-end appliances, dishware, and other essentials. Included furnishings differ by home. Ask your leasing specialist for more information.
Cleaning services
Our professional team cleans shared spaces, including kitchens, living rooms, and shared bathrooms on a regular basis.
Basic supplies
We stock your household staples like pots, pans, dishes, paper towels, and soap, so you don’t have to run those pesky errands. Included furnishings differ by home. Ask your leasing specialist for more information.
Onsite laundry
Never lug your dirty clothes to a laundromat again. All Common homes offer on-site or in-unit laundry.
Transfers
If you’re ready to transfer to another room or home within the Common community, simply put in a request.

Our homes are optimized for high-speed, commercial-grade WiFi, included at no additional cost to you.

What types of units do you offer?
Common offers a wide range of units for a variety of needs and budgets, from coliving suites to microunits and private studios and 1- and 2-bedroom apartments. Whatever you choose, you’ll find convenience, value, comfort, and community.
What do I get when I become a member at Common?
As a Common member, your rent includes community events, on-demand property management through the Connect by Common app, access to discounts at local and national brands, keyless entry, Smart TVs, on-site laundry and more!
Our coliving members also enjoy regular cleanings of shared spaces within each suite (including the bathrooms!), utilities, WiFi, household essentials like cookware and cleaning supplies, a private furnished bedroom, and a beautifully furnished shared suite.
Do you allow pets?
While we love animals, we only allow pets at our private studio and 1- and 2-bedroom apartments. In our coliving suites, pets may be allowed as an accommodation for tenants with a qualified disability.
What is the ratio of bathrooms per suite?
Our private studio and 1- and 2-bedroom apartments have completely private bathrooms.
In our coliving suites, members have the option to rent a bedroom with a private ensuite bathroom, or share a bathroom — typically with one other person. All of our coliving homes have weekly cleaning and household supplies included in rent, so even when you do share a bathroom with another suitemate, you don’t have to stress over whose turn it is to clean or buy the toilet paper.
Are there options for couples?
We offer private studio, 1, and 2-bedroom apartments that are perfect for couples. In our coliving suites, we also have rooms across our cities and homes that accomodate couples. These rooms offer a queen size bed and have an ensuite bathroom.
What is the application process like?
The application process is easy and can all be completed online, or in-person if you’re local. First you’ll fill out the application form on our site and chat with one of our home specialists. Then, if you’re local to the area, you can go for an in-person tour, or if you’re remote, we can tour with you virtually. At that time, you can reserve the room while we conduct a background check, and if everything checks out, you sign your lease.
